It was a tough night for the Idaho basketball team. After losing at Washington the team's trip home was delayed when its chartered bus broke down at Snoqualmie Pass in freezing rain. A replacement bus didn't show up, so the driver called the Washington State Patrol. The patrol says three patrol cars picked up 17 passengers and drove them to a hotel in North Bend. The Vandals were able to continue home this morning.

United Technologies Proposes $3 Billion Takeover Of Diebold

United Technologies Corporation is threatening a hostile takeover of Diebold.

UTC announced Monday that it was willing to pay nearly $3 billion in cash to buy Diebold, one of the leading makers of automated teller machines and electronic voting systems. UTC said it would pay $40 a share for Diebold's stock, which UTC said represents a 66% premium over Diebold's closing stock price Friday and a 45% premium to the three-month trailing average. It is not subject to financing contingency, according to United Technologies.
